What are Chakras:- There are seven chakras that are positioned throughout your body, from the base of your spine to the crown of your head. These are energy centres within the human body that help to regulate all its processes, from organ function to the immune system and emotions. Each chakra has its own vibrational frequency, colour, and governs specific functions. Chakra vitalizes a physical body and is associated with interactions of a physical or mental nature. 1st Chakra – Root Chakra [Life] The Root Chakra is located at the base of your spine and is the first of your seven chakras. As the root of your being, this chakra establishes your foundation as well as your sense of security and stability. Gemstones commonly used to open, balance and heal the root chakra are:- Black Onyx; Black Tourmaline; Red Jasper; Bloodstone; Hematite; Red Tigers Eye; Smokey Quartz; Mahogany Obsidian; Jet 2nd Chakra – Sacral Chakra [Guts] It is located just below the navel and so regulates the reproductive organs. An open and balanced sacral chakra is important for living a balanced, healthy and prosperous life. A closed sacral chakra can shut you off from opportunities and stifle your creativity. Orange Calcite, Orange Moonstone, Goldstone or Sunstone 3rd Chakra – Solar Plexus Chakra [Light] The solar plexus or third chakra is located just above the navel. It functions as the center of energy associated with ego or your self-identity. It’s the seed of your personal power, self-belief, self-worth and governs your willpower, self-esteem and emotions.
